Bring into use area of derelict ground by clearing area, building and installing 9 raised beds and 9 storage lockers for tools. Raised beds provide cultivation area, about 6.75 sq. metres for beginners to try, and learn, gardening techniques, with support from the allotment community, or for elderly who may not be able to cope with larger space. Increase opportunity of access to garden or green space in area where housing density is increasing. The Society provides support and benefits to young and old from a small local community of gardeners.
