This information was added on 19/10/2023 and last updated on: 12/09/2024
The Grove Community is a church plant in partnership with the Eden Network and the Church of England. In 2016, Mark and Laura Tate were sent by St Pauls Ealing in partnership with St Stephen’s Ealing onto the Gurnell Grove estate.
The Tates moved onto the estate with a vision to see church form and grow where local residents could meet Jesus and be discipled. Since then they have seen the birth of various community initiatives including an after school Kids club, a Community lunch and an OAP club. A highlight of their work on the Grove is hosting Bingo Church – a monthly bingo night for residents which includes a short talk and opportunity for prayer.
Community Café
Every Thursday during term time we run a pop up cafe which in the summer months is outside and in the colder months in indoors! At the moment we meeting indoors in the Gurnell Grove community centre (W13 0AE).
The cafe runs from 3:30pm – 4:30pm and serves hot and cold drinks and nibbles all for free. There are a selection of fun games on offer to. All ages are welcome.
Eden Kids club
If you are in primary school then come and join us at Eden Kids club every Friday between 4:15 -5:30pm in the Gurnell Grove community centre
An Eden Kids session could involve getting crafty, playing games, watching films, playing sports and a trip or two to our super healthy tuck shop (only kidding – it’s full of sweeties!) We have a bunch of fun leaders to get to know and there’s always games to compete in and prizes to be won!
Bingo Church
Our popular bingo nights are welcome to everyone! They’re once a month on a Friday night, 7:30 – 9:00pm. Each night has 5 games of bingo, with a short talk in the middle and an opportunity for prayer at the end.
