We love golf and think it’s a great sport, with great health benefits, both physical and mental, for those who play it. And we don’t see why everyone shouldn’t enjoy it as much as we do – or at least be able to try it out.

According to England Golf, only 15% of all golfers are female and it is a sport enjoyed by ethnically diverse groups far less than other sports. We know there are some barriers (proximity of facilities, equipment costs and knowledge of the game) to children taking up golf so our aim is to overcome those barriers, at least in our local neighbourhood.

We aim to attract a gender-neutral group of students that reflect the ethnic diversity of our community.
