Project Date(s): May 2017 to May 2018
Ealing135 is a not for profit community group that has been around in ealing for over 30 years. It is run by local parents for parents in Ealing including the areas of Hanwell, Northfields and Acton to help with their children’s early years. Whether that be providing local playgroups or groups for first time parents, working parent, second time parents or special baby groups or for running local events like Nearly New Sales, or chidren’s fun events in the holidays like Spring or Summer Fun.
The group is run entirely by our amazing team of volunteers. We are always in need of people who are willing to help out. So whether you’d like to join in the fun be a part of a super local network, make friends, share experiences with other mums and dads, or whether you are keen to learn new skills whilst on maternity leave, increase your managerial, events planning, creative, administrative or leadership experiences, there are plenty of ways in which you can get involved.

We are currently looking for:
The essential part of a rep’s job is collecting and delivering newsletters by attending quarterly committee meetings, and volunteering at our events. The position of rep is really what you feel up to doing with it. Some reps will arrange nights out or meet ups. It’s really up to the individual. And if you can find a friend to take the role on with you can share the position!
The Ealing Broadway Representative role is a voluntary position that does not require many hours a month but is a valuable part of the Ealing135 community. The role of rep is as follows:
- help organize the annual events in the Ealing135 calendar. This could be a special Halloween party for Children or the Spring Fun craft/play sessions. This may involve a few hours a couple of times a year.
- help advertise the Ealing135 events such as the Nearly New Sale and the Summer Fun activities by putting up posters in your local area and by connecting with the Ealing135 members in your area.
- deliver the quarterly newsletter/guide to the members in your area. This takes a couple of hours but can be a fun activity to do with a small child in tow playing postman and learning the numbers of doors.
The role can be as much or as little as you have time for to fit in around family life. It can be done flexibly and locally and in your own time. The role provides the chance to get to know other parents in the local area.
