Ealing Foodbank

23 March 2021

Acton, Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale, Southall

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

The foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in the London Borough of Ealing.

  • We began in Acton, on 18 October 2013, and we now have seven foodbank centres, which we call cafés – you will receive a warm welcome and a hot drink!
  • We work with 200+ referral agencies, and have a team of over 200 volunteers
  • We are a registered charity and have three part time paid workers and a Board of Trustees
  • We are part of the Trussell Trust network of foodbanks
  • In the year April 2018 to March 2019, we had an increase of 95 percent in clients coming to get help with food and advice
