Making your local area better

As a community, we are proud to call Acton, Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale, and Southall home

There are plenty of opportunities to make these towns even better places to live. Take part in doing simple, every day things to benefit the wider community, such as recycling more and helping to keep our parks and streets litter free. Or, if you want to become part of a larger project, join a local group and transform your neighbourhood into a space everyone can enjoy.

Here you will also be able to find help and advice on funding and getting your very own project started. You can also encourage others to get involved by simply posting your ideas to the community projects section of our website.

Playing a more hands-on role in the community provides a fantastic opportunity to get active and increase your physical health and well-being. It is also a great way to relieve stress, make new friends and transform spaces and neighbourhoods for the better.

You might need the council’s permission, or you might need a bit of help, but I think a group of locals getting together to do something is quite powerful.
